Faces of Phase One

Phase One is what the World’s best photography is made of and we are proud to see what the best photographers in the World are capable of achieving with a Phase One camera system and Capture One imaging software. We are capable of raising the bar for photography because our team is made of real and passionate people. These images, Faces of Phase One, give you the opportunity to meet some of those people here at Phase One and we will introduce you to even more faces every Friday until mid November. The images are captured by our colleague and photographer Alexander Flemming. They are part of the project ‘Faces of Phase One’ where Alexander aimed at making a series of images that were Phase One from the beginning to end. The Images show Phase One employees, photographed by a Phase One employee, using a Phase One camera system and processed in Phase One’s software, Capture One. The images were of course captured on sight in the studio at the Phase One headquarters, located in Copenhagen Denmark. We must again stress that these handsome men are in fact actual Phase One employees and not models. Of course it must be mentioned that we are not always so serious and dressed in fancy suits, nor are we always so moody looking at the office. The Phase One family is made up of all kinds of people and we hope you’ll be happy to meet some more of them soon.Alexander also captures photographs outside of the Phase One office. You can follow his work through Alexander Flemming Photography or on his website http://ift.tt/103KI1V #phaseone #captureone from Phase One's Facebook Wall

Jimmy is one of our support technicians, beating any kind of problem our customers may run into. As one of the two Phase One Certified Professional instructors in the world, you can be sure he knows almost everything there is to know about Phase One systems and Capture One software. Jimmy is also an avid climber, so we’re to have him with us here in Copenhagen despite Denmark being one of the flattest countries on Earth.

Bjarke works in the Image Core department, making sure every camera supported by Capture One is thoroughly implemented. Additionally, he works on optimizing performance regarding image processing on both CPUs and GPUs. Bjarke is another one of our Doctors, having his degree in Computer Science. If he hadn't made a career at Phase One, he would probably be playing in a world famous rock band as a drummer. For now he sticks to the beloved Phase One band, performing at company parties.

Genious! You can now replace your E-mount with a more solid full metal ring!

Fotodiox launched a new products which will make many E-mount camera owners very happy! It replaces the current hybrid metal-plastic mount ring with a full metal ring! That way you get rid of the "wiggling" you get on longer lenses. You can buy it for $39 at Amazon US (Click here).

Here is the full press text and a video which explains it:

Sony's line of E-Mount (previously called "NEX") cameras are amazingly powerful little cameras, but they have one flaw. The lens mount is a two part construction, with the critical component that holds the lens in place made of plastic. This is why any lens you attach to an E mount camera is prone to wiggling, especially longer pro lenses.

Fotodiox has created the solution - 'The TOUGH E-Mount' modification kit. Anyone can replace the original 2 piece NEX mount on their camera with an all-metal one in about five minutes. All you need is a jewelers screwdriver (phillips) to remove and replace four little screws. We've created a video to show you how easy it is:

Once you've installed the Fotodiox The TOUGH E-Mount, you can mount practically any sized pro lens on your Sony E-mount camera using one our full line of E-Mount lens adapters. With the powerful combination of our TOUGH E-Mount modification and our lens adapters, you can be confident of a solid and professional fit.

Photokina is over and I am working to get details about the next announcement period. I can tell you with a 100% certainty that at least those companies will announce new Mirrorless System Cameras in January and February 2015 already and displayed at the CP+ show which starts on Feb 12:

Sony, Olympus and Samsung!

I have no 100% reliable info about Fuji, Canon, Nikon and Panasonic mirrorless announcement during the same time.

Now all I need to know are the specs of those new Sony-Samsung-Olympus cameras...
