We asked Phase One photographer of the month Christian Fletcher Photo Images about his best advice to aspiring photographers.
Check out Christian's images in our gallery: http://bit.ly/1wM6VMW
Here's Christian's answer to our question:
Best advice is: Slow down. Take a breath, think about your composition, get it right then think about everything you need to do in order to capture that scene perfectly. Do you need to focus stack or maybe expose for different areas of the scene? Do you want movement or all the detail frozen? Can it be improved by stitching a few images together?
To become a great photographer these things are important. You need to take photos better than the rest. They need to be original and worthy of someone's time and attention. You need to learn everything you can and not settle for doing things the same, year after year. You need to try new techniques, ideas and always strive for better results.

Sony graph shows how mirrorless is growing in all parts of the world.
At the Sony A7m2 presentation in Japan Sony showed the graph you see here on top (Source: DC.watch). it shows how the mirrorless system camera market is growing compared to the DSLR market. The blue bar shows the market percentaga of mirrorless in the system camera market:
- Half ot the system cameras sold in Japan and Korea are mirrorless
- US is the "weakest market" with only 11% of share
- Mirrorless is growing in all amrkets (althaigh at different speeds).
INteresting additional note from Sony: half of the A7/r/s camera owners never owned a Sony camera before those!

Capture One 8.0.2 has been released!
The update includes support for Capture One in OS X Yosemite, and camera support for Nikon D750.
Download Capture One 8.0.2 here: http://ift.tt/1ubHRAc
For this update we thought an image from Yosemite captured with a #PhaseOne by Joe Cornish would fit well.
