We asked Phase One photographer of the month Christian Fletcher Photo Images about his best advice to aspiring photographers.

Here's Christian's answer to our question:

Best advice is: Slow down. Take a breath, think about your composition, get it right then think about everything you need to do in order to capture that scene perfectly. Do you need to focus stack or maybe expose for different areas of the scene? Do you want movement or all the detail frozen? Can it be improved by stitching a few images together?

To become a great photographer these things are important. You need to take photos better than the rest. They need to be original and worthy of someone's time and attention. You need to learn everything you can and not settle for doing things the same, year after year. You need to try new techniques, ideas and always strive for better results.
