But here's what Paul answered when we asked how he got started as a professional photographer:
"Many years (and McDonalds meals) ago, I was actually modelling. I’d travelled quite a bit, and met some fantastic photographers who were kind enough to show me how to turn my hobby-level skills into a more refined shooting style. From there, I started offering to shoot other models for their books, and I got into it from there. I’ve always taken travel and landscape photos, since I can remember, so one day I realised I was focusing on the wrong thing when I was shooting purely people. From there, I started focusing my better knowledge on improving my landscape images and it all just began to click into place. Having experience shooting a lot of people still actually helps though - especially when it comes to commercial shots."

"I just love the whole feel from this image. It's the perfect tone for the subject matter, and the shallow DoF really focuses the viewer on the subject. As a portrait, it's nicely done. But it also works as an editorial work, or even an advert - and that's tough to achieve. Great stuff."
