Here we go! Phase One Photo Contest finalist 1 of 10.
Congratulations Dan Briski Photography for making it to the final.
Image title: 'what the world's best view is made of'
We've asked the judges to say a little about each finalist.
Here's what Paul Reiffer - Photographer said about this:
"The composition of this shot adds something that many landscapes lack - a sense of scale. So often, we see dramatic mountain scenes (and this is definitely one of them) but the lack of human element means something is lost. This image is shot in difficult light, but the photographer has steered clear of the temptation to play too much with the dynamic range of the picture, leaving it with a natural feel.
This could easily sit in a National Geographic editorial, where Man is framed against the vastness of the world - and makes me wonder, "what happened next?" with that sky."
Winner of #PhaseOnePhotoContest will be announced first week of February.
